Andreas Karweger

Andreas Karweger is the CEO and driving force behind the Advanced Building Skins Conference & Expo, one of Europe’s leading events on innovative building envelopes, held annually in Switzerland. With a background in business administration from EBS Universität and more than two decades of experience in conference and event organisation around energy, architecture and building technology, he has built Advanced Building Skins into a key international platform for architects, engineers, researchers and industry. Before launching Advanced Building Skins in its current form, he led the Economic Forum and organised the “Energy Forum” in Bressanone, focused on solar architecture, which later evolved into a broader focus on future façade and building envelope solutions. Under his leadership, the conference now attracts several hundred participants from over 50 countries and is recognised for its curated programme, strong industry–research dialogue and high‑level networking opportunities around performance, innovation and design in building skins.
